Younger children and teens have specific dermatological needs, and we can help.
What is it?
Pediatric and adolescent dermatology is a specialized branch of dermatology focused on diagnosing and treating skin conditions specifically affecting infants, children, and teenagers. This includes a wide range of dermatological issues unique to these groups, such as birthmarks, molluscum contagiosum, impetigo, moles, eczema, acne, warts, and various rashes. We can treat alopecia, eczema, hyperhidrosis, psoriasis, rosacea and more. We can also evaluate, diagnose and treat skin infections caused by allergic reactions, such as poison ivy and oak and environmental allergies. We can help your loved one with treatment plans, from oral or topical antihistamines and allergy and skin patch tests to minor surgical procedures such as mole removal, biopsies and laser treatments for areas of concern.
